RESERVE YOUR TIMESLOT
Visit www.lesandlot.com/squad and request one or several weeks and chose either Weekday Mornings Sessions (9am-12pm) or Weekday Afternoon Sessions (1:30pm-4:30pm) for a given week (Space is very limited, we will reserve spots on a “first come, first served” basis). We will call you to confirm your timeslot and take full payment for the Squad for the timeslot(s) reserved.
BUILD YOUR SQUAD
Create a squad of up to 5 friends. Squads should be made up of baseball players from the same age category and roughly the same skill level and must be the same group of kids for the whole week (no call-ups or substitutions).

CHOOSE YOUR HOME TURF
Decide on a location for your squad to hold its sessions (this could be a family backyard or a local greenspace next to one of your squad member’s home, provided your municipality allows it).
PLAY BALL !!!
Your Squad Leader (one of Le Sandlot’s Professional Coaches) will meet your Squad at your home turf at the start of your timeslot every day that week and will guide you through tailored exercises, drills and mini-games, all designed to improve your baseball skills while giving you personalized instruction.

All squad members MUST have their own baseball bat, helmet, baseball glove, baseball cap, enough water for 3 hours of activity, sunscreen, hand sanitizer and personal hand/face towel and a nut-free snack. THERE WILL BE NO SHARING OF ANY KIND.

Squad Leaders will be equipped with all necessary equipment other than personal equipment stated above in order to run drills and exercises. Squad Leaders will be responsible for fully sanitizing all of this equipment prior to and after use by any given Squad member.

Rainout Policy – Rainouts will be announced at least 1 hour before the start time of the session, in which case the programming will be cancelled. The Squad will be credited at the end of week (1/5 of weekly fee paid per rain-out day) for 5-day clinics. Fridays will be used as replacement days for rainouts during a 3-day clinic.
1.
I want to register my child but don't have a squad. Can you put him in a group for me?

No. We are not forming any groups - it is up to the athletes to make up their own group.

We do not want to be responsible for the make-up the groups and want the kids to be 100% happy with their squad.

We suggest reaching out to teammates from last year or other friends to make up your squad.

If we have a group that has indicated they are looking to add individuals to their group, we will be happy to put you in contact with them.
2.
We have room in our squad for another athlete. Can you find someone to join our group?

No. We do not want to be responsible for the make-up the groups and want the kids to be 100% happy with their squad.

We suggest reaching out to teammates from last year or other friends to make up your squad.

If we have individuals who have inquired about joining a group, we will be happy to put you in contact with them.

3.
Does the Home Field have to be in our area?

No. Your squad can choose any outdoor location to hold the clinics for the week, provided you are allowed to use that location. Our coach will meet your squad at the desired location to conduct the clinic.
4.
Are your coaches certified? Have they been subjected to background checks? Have they been trained in sanitary and distancing measures?

Yes. The safety and well-being of all of our participants are of extreme importance to us. All of our coaches have all been subjected to Police Background Checks and have been trained in the social distancing and sanitation protocols we have adopted. All of our coaches have completed certification programs in baseball training and have at least 4 years of practical experience. We invite you to visit the "OUR TEAM" page to learn more about our coaches.
5.
Can each member of our squad pay Le Sandlot directly for their own child?

We prefer dealing with one point of contact for the squad as relates to payment and the selection of the Home Turf. This person will also be the one who receives any credits for Rainouts.
6.
I cannot have the uncertainty of rainouts cancelling the clinic. Can the clinic be held at Le Sandlot in case of rain, instead of cancelling?

If this is something you would want, we can now accomodate the current pulic safety guidelines.

7.
Can we add a 6th person to our squad? Can a spot in our squad be shared with another child (example: Steve is there Monday and Friday, Jon is there Tuesday to Thursday)?

No and No. Squads must be 5 people or less to ensure the safety of each member and the ability for our coaches to effectively do their jobs. There should be no substitutions of members during the week as this exposes each member and our coaches to new potential transmission as well as it makes the progression of programming throughout the week more difficult.

8.
Will the kids be able to play catch with one another (ie share baseballs)?

Yes. Considering the recent announcements from our public health officials and the return to play protocols adopted by Baseball Quebec, kids will be permitted to throw to each other (sanitizing their hands before they begin, and after they finish, as well as anytime after they have brought their hands to their faces).
